Dragons Are the Worst is a hilarious and heartwarming middle-grade series about a group of friends who are trying to save their town from a dragon.
When Avery, Mallory, and Jake discover a dragon egg in the woods, they think they're in for the adventure of a lifetime. But when the dragon hatches, they quickly realize that it's not what they expected.
This dragon is rude, messy, and destructive. He eats all of their food, burns their clothes, and even sets fire to their treehouse. The kids soon realize that they have to get rid of the dragon, but that's easier said than done.
The dragon is strong and powerful, and he's not afraid to use his fire breath. The kids try everything they can think of to get rid of him, but nothing seems to work.
Finally, Avery comes up with a plan. She knows that dragons love treasure, so she decides to use that to her advantage. She gathers up all of the gold and jewels she can find, and she places it in a pile in the middle of the town square.
The dragon is drawn to the treasure like a moth to a flame. He flies down and begins to eat the gold and jewels. The kids watch in amazement as the dragon gets fatter and fatter.
Soon, the dragon is so full that he can't move. The kids seize their chance and tie him up with a rope. Then they drag him to the edge of town and push him into a deep hole.
The dragon is finally gone, and the town is safe. The kids celebrate their victory with a feast, and they all agree that they'll never forget the day they saved their town from the worst dragon ever.
